Middle Farm

Middle Farm is a working family farm founded in 1960 by John and Vivienne Pile, and is now run by their daughter, her husband, and their sons.

Visitors can meet the animals, take part in seasonal events such as spring lambing, and get a feel for everyday Sussex farming life. The award-winning farm shop champions local, seasonal produce, with an on-site butchery, bakery, and cheese shop, alongside a carefully chosen selection of artisan food from across the UK. There’s also a welcoming tearoom and gardeners’ courtyard to relax in.

The Cider Barn is home to an extensive range of ciders and perries from small producers around the country, alongside wines from Sussex vineyards, beers from local breweries, and apple and pear juices pressed from nearby orchards – including apple juice, pressed on site.
